GOALS
I am interested in becoming a school psychologist for my local community because of the risk factors and my thorough research study. In Research Methods & Statistics l & ll, I studied parental incarceration and its impact on childhood development. The results displayed children, who have incarcerated parents, are more likely to develop external behaviors. This research journey inspired me to focus on school counseling when enrolled in a graduate program. I am interested in expanding my knowledge in school counseling and childhood development because it gives me an opportunity to gain experience as well as have a hands-on opportunity to gain experience, while learning about different children and improving their performance throughout their academic career.
